Rochester’s West Hill Community

Visit the homesteads of 9 West Hill families, including the Smith’s, Jones’, Crossman’s, and Cary’s.
See where the Whitney family, featured in the play “Ransom”, lived.
Take Route 73 West to West Hill Road, and meet at the parking area on the Jones Mountain Road, which is the 3rd road to the right off the West Hill Road.
This is a “moderate” hike lasting about 5 hours. Bring water, a snack or lunch and insect repellant. Good hiking boots are recommended.
